Growing up in Camden, Maine, just about everything Matt has done in his life has been around water and boating. He started sailing at a very early age and ever since he has pursued a life working above and below the sea. He is a certified and accomplished SCUBA Dive Instructor with years of experience in the Virgin Islands. Matt has worked aboard M/Y Freedom for several years, and spent 24 months being groomed for Captainship by George Custer, the previous captain and owner of Freedom. In addition to his diving credentials, Matt holds a 200/500 Ton USCG license as well as CPR, First AID, and Rescue Diver credentials. Captain Matt’s knowledge of the BVI’s pristine diving spots and snug anchorages will make your charter truly one to remember.

Hailing from “Vacationland” Sarah, a Maine native loves everything that has to do with being on the water. As a graduate from the University of New Hampshire in Marine Biology, her knowledge of the BVI and the underwater world is second to none. Sarah is a PADI Divemaster, certified in adult and child first aid as well as in CPR. Her positive energy, bar-tending knowledge, fine service skills and attention to detail will keep you at ease while pampering you on your luxury vacation.

Originally hailing from South Louisiana, Chef Treva Porche brings a touch of southern charm to the galley and the table. For the past five years Chef Treva has been a part of the best kitchens the Virgin Islands has to offer. From his positions as head pastry chef at renowned Frenchtown eatery, Craig and Sally’s, to sushi sous chef under Master Sushi Chef James Kim at Caneel Bay Resort, his experience is as varied and vast as the colors of the water we cruise upon. Chef Treva now brings his culinary talents to Freedom for your dining pleasure. With a degree in baking and pastry from the Art Institute of Atlanta and hands on experience working with world renowned Chef Laurent Torendel in The Arlington Club of Manhattan, he will satisfy your appetite and tantalize your taste buds.
