Lagoon 45ft -2016, refit 2020

Chaos Interrupted

Yacht description

Chaos Interrupted is a 3-cabin Lagoon 450, a really popular design for chartering as it has lots of space for up to three couples, but is small enough to be affordable. The cabins are all queen size and have 6’6” headroom! Each has ensuite bathrooms with separate shower stalls.

The interior of the yacht is very modern and light. The salon flows seamlessly into the cockpit so plenty of space for all guests. The cockpit offers a lovely outdoor dining option with comfy seats for relaxing.

Forward is the very popular foredeck lounge area, which is the perfect place to relax in the evenings with a cocktail in your hand. There is also a flybridge which has a seating area as well as a sunbathing area forward of the steering position.

Our personal opinion

Why book Chaos Interrupted– JAKE – Jake the Boat Dog is Chaos Interrupted’s mascot and security detail. He is a rescued Labradane and one look into his soulful eyes will melt your heart. He loves to paddleboard, swim and chase balls and gives the best cuddles! If you’re not a dog lover then, with advance notice, Jake can go ashore and stay with one of his buddies.

From the time you climb on board Chaos Interrupted till the time you leave it is a 5-Star experience all the way. Captain Vince and Chef Judy make the perfect team with Jake “The Boat Dog” being the Ambassador. Being the owner/operators you can tell the boat is THEIR home, perfect in every detail. If you are reading this review and have never been on a boat in the Virgin Islands for a week you are probably asking what do you do on a boat for a week.

#1 you can relax like never before especially when under sail. Vince and Judy make sure the bar is always open and delicious meals are being prepared. Painkillers, martinis, old fashions, steak, tuna, pork, omelet soufflés, lobster, fish tacos, chocolate covered strawberries, Judy’s famous key lime pie and the list goes on.

Activities include, fishing, diving, catching lobster and lion fish, snorkeling, walking on the beach, visiting the bubbly pool, seeing Foxy himself, Soggy Dollar Bar, tarpon feeding, day at Anegada to name a few.

Chaos Interrupted with Vince, Judy and Jake make a trip to be remembered and isn’t that what life is all about, Making Memories.

  • Shannon & Kim

Kim and I are Vince and Judy’s First and Only “ThreePeat” clients to date, and the memories and friendships that we have created are second to none. We asked them to plan our itinerary (this time in the BVI), and they nailed it every time and exceeded our expectations. Their attention to detail is over the top, and I highly respect them.

From the minute you are welcomed aboard by Vince, Judy, and a couple of barks from Jake (The Boat Dog), you know that you are at the right place, and the fun never stops until you get off Chaos Interrupted at the end of the journey. I don’t have to go into too many details, as the reviews posted since the beginning of their venture are very accurate. Captain Vince ensures we get there safely with our cocktails made to perfection. Judy, in my opinion, is a Michelin 3-Star Chef and is Vince’s right hand!

Jake is fantastic to snuggle with and serves as the director of security by barking at a dingy passing by. It’s such a joy to have them join us ashore, have lunch and dinner and hear about their journey. We are blessed to have spent Kim’s Birthday in March of 2021 and celebrated New Year’s with them in 2022 and 2023.

My sister treated me and three of our adult children to a fabulous Christmas week exploring the BVI aboard Chaos Interrupted. Her diligent research to find the right boat and crew paid off in spades!

We connected with Judy and Vince immediately and proceeded to have an outstanding adventure — laughing and playing like we’d known them all our lives. They are talented, gracious, competent, and FUN guides and hosts, dedicated to providing a “Trip of a Lifetime” experience. With us, they certainly succeeded.

Vince completed my sons’ SCUBA certification with patience, humor, and excellent instruction. Although Judy was often in the background working hard to make sure we were well fed, we had lots of chances to experience her beautiful warmth and charm. These two are perfectly matched to each other and to their calling.

No bar in the BVI could match Vince’s Yappy Hour blended concoctions, and we certainly tried a few. We love Jake the Boat Dog. We highly recommend Chaos Interrupted!

    Happy sails to you!

Where do we even start? Our trip to the BVI with Chaos Interrupted was a once and a lifetime experience. Every day was filled with wonderful meals, picturesque locations, and relaxed vibes. Chef Mate Judy and Captain Vince were able to take us away from our hectic lives and change our clocks to Island Time!

Traveling with an 8 and 10 year old would intimidate even the most polished hosts, but not Judy and Capt. Vince. The care and attention they showed our entire family, young and old, is unmatched. The lifelong memories our family was able to make, without all of life’s distractions, were priceless. We will be forever grateful for the trip they shared with our family.

It wouldn’t be proper to leave a review without mentioning the show stopper, Jake the Boat Dog. Jake is a warm, calm, and loving presence on the boat. After such a wonderful trip, we hope to have our Chaos Interrupted again very soon!

Everything about this experience was top notch. We booked a year in advance and had so many questions since it is such a unique trip. Judy was very communicative, set expectations appropriately and removed any apprehensions to get us comfortable prior to boarding. Follow their recommendations about packing lightly! You’re in swimming suits every day and you’ll end up bringing home a lot of clean clothes.

Each morning you wake up in a spot more beautiful than the previous day. Snorkeling is great, swimming with sea turtles, laying on the front bean bag chairs while sailing or capturing the breeze on the flybridge with coffee in the morning. Each night you’ll have “map time” with Vince to determine your preference for activities the next day. They setup a projector for movie night off the back of the boat and tailor everything to your preferences.

Jake the Boat Dog is super chill and made us dog lovers feel at home. We caught a few mackerel while sailing, did standup paddle boarding and floating almost every day. The Lime Out floating taco bar is a MUST. You cannot see this many beautiful places in the USVI by land. It’s nice to have your own air-conditioned room, bathroom and shower, along with Wi-Fi on the boat. Judy cooked amazing gourmet meals every day. The presentation and flavor was impeccable, and every meal was HEALTHY! Fresh fruits and vegetables at each meal left you feeling great the entire trip. Vince always made sure you had a drink in your hand (if you wanted it) and made fantastic island cocktails (try the PAINKILLERS!). They’re genuine folks and make sure you’re enjoying yourself every step of the way. Highly recommend it!
