Marc, Carla, Aidiya, and Connor spent a spectacular week on S/Y Katrina. The crew was attentive and skilled. We enjoyed great meals, awesome cocktails and scratch made treats that will leave our tummies pinning for the time we spent here. We spent our time snorkeling, laughing, hiking, playing games and star gazing. We watched our beloved Texas longhorns clinch the men’s basketball Big 12 championship and advance to the field of 32 in the NCAA tourney. We celebrated the 1 year anniversary of 2 kids we love very much and we also celebrated a belated 52nd birthday. This is our 3rd vacation of this kid and Ed and Erin are the BEST!

You make a great team on SV Katrina. This made our week long trip amazing. Everything from the details and flexibility of our itinerary to the delicious food prepared and presented onboard, to your expertise and knowledge on the water, to your openness and respect for allowing us to have our naked cruise and truly feel comfortable, you provided us an experience that we will not soon forget.
SV Katrina herself is a beautiful, well-kept vessel with plenty of well thought out spaces for relaxation. Her owner should be very pleased with how you care for her. We thank you both so very much for making our first time in the BVI’s very special.

Captain Ed & Erin, thank you for such a lovely, memorable week! We loved every minute and your wary hospitality was truly icing on the cake. We cant wait to host you in Austin someday! And we for sure will be seeing you again! We will miss you so much as we will the blue water. Gratefully!

Erin & Ed, thank you for such an amazing week. Katrina is a great boat, but you two make it excellent. The food was incredibly delicious, for every meal. Each day of our trip jus got better and better under Captain Ed’s guidance we always felt safe and secure. We all wish you the best finishing this season. And know our paths will cross again.

Was the yacht comfortable and clean?
At 50 foot, the yacht could be considered small for a week long vacation but that was not the case. There was always plenty of room, plenty of places to sit and the cabins were very adequate. The ship was always clean and was cleaned constantly from the minute we got on the ship to the time we left, the crew was very meticulous! Was the yacht well ventilated?
Absolutely! There was always plenty of air moving in, around and through the yacht. Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
100% They were really more like family, a family that made sure you are safe, comfortable, well taken care of and overfed. Was the food good and well presented?
The food was not good, the food was great! No matter what meal, no matter what day, the food was always a surprise, and it was always excellent. Chef Erin is very well trained in providing great cuisine. Whether it was breakfast fruit, the best guacamole salsa I’ve ever had or a multicourse dinner, everything exceeded expectations.Additional comments about the yacht and crew?
As I stated before, the crew was really more like family. Capt. Ed sailed 5 to 6 hours per day at our request and has amazing skills as a captain/sailor and made the sailing so enjoyable. By the way we did sail with all sails fully up in the air, not just motoring around the Caribbean, it was absolutely awesome the entire time. Capt. Ed and chef Erin are husband and wife, and they not only took care us, but they take care of each other, and it was just fun every day interacting with friends who had much in common.Did you like the area you chartered in?
The USVI is a beautiful area, and we enjoyed every minute of our time there. It would not have been as good if we did not have such a great captain and chef who knew the area well and took us to spots that caused them to fall love with the Virgin Islands. The sailing, scenery and the entire area was breathtaking every day and we owe so much to the crew of Katrina for spoiling us with the places they love. -
Erin & Ed – Thank you so much for an amazing week on the Katrina. There are too many highlights to list, but every single day exceeded expectations. So much amazing snorkeling, scuba diving, beach time, rainbows, sunsets, sun rises and time unplugged from devices. The food was fantastic and popular with everyone in the family. Erin and Ed were wonderful hosts and made everything easy for us. Thank you!
