South Africa has become one of best places for catamaran design and manufacture, and Kuma Too is Robertson and Caines’ signature Leopard 47. These cats are designed for chartering so offer the very best accommodation and sailing ability. Three double cabins offer plenty of closet space, a comfortable queen bed with luxury linens and, of course, an en-suite bathroom.

On decks the cockpit is the hub of entertainment and dining with room for everyone to dine al fresco or one person to curl up with a good book.

Our personal opinion

Why book Kuma Too – FAMILY FUN – This is a great boat for kids of all ages. The cockpit is safe and secure so whilst underway the kids still get to see everything without being constrained too much. The forward trampoline area is great for laying face down on and watching the fish play underneath, or you can dive in from the bow, or play with the water toys or… They will have fun all day and sleep like angels at night!

    Joe and Mandy are incredible hosts! Their attention to detail is impeccable! Joe finds the perfect bays & beaches & peaceful spots to anchor & take in all the amazing scenery – both above and below the water. Mandy’s cooking is out of this world!! Every meal was unique & fabulous in both presentation & flavor! They took the time to get to know us & always picked the perfect things for us to enjoy every single day!

    Favorite Memories include: snorkeling in the most beautiful clear blue water, stargazing, a day in Anegada – lobsters and conch, baby oil on the water pad – who can face off first :-), Jost Van Dyke, White Bay, Tipsy Shark, drinks of the day, pork belly ramen, rainbows, tubing, kneeboarding, and kayaking.
    Even old “Dad” was keeping up with boys and their sliding on the pad and an epic knee board ride with sunset.

    Thank you for opening up your amazing home & giving us the best vacation we have ever experienced! We’re not sure how we can return to normal life after such red carpet treatment! There is no other way to vacation in the BVI!!

    The extraordinary experiences we shared on this trip with the incomparable Mandy and Joe will forever hold a special place in all of our hearts. Every quiet cove and wonderous snorkel spot (Scrub Island, The Indians, Diamond Cay off Sandy Spit, Ginger Island, Peter Island, Norman, etc) We loved SUPing in the mangroves off Beef Island, and meeting the locals in Great Harbor, Jost Van Dyke. So much beautiful sea life under the water – the gorgeously blue Caribbean Sea! Every meal Mandy prepared was delicious and inviting. The upkeep and detailed maintenance & cleanliness of the boat were much appreciated.

    This was our first sailboat charter in the BVI – our first crewed charter ever. We had high expectations but were uniformly blown away(!) by Mandy and Joe’s phenomenal teamwork to keep us all happy and everything working smoothly. We were able to relax to the fullest, felt pampered and care for, SAFE & SECURE in Joe and Mandy’s friendly and professional hands. We are honored and grateful to have had this time together with Mandy and Joe on Kuma Too! <3

    P.S. Daily cocktail specials were excellent! Delicious painkillers, margaritas, purple rains (mocktails too!) bushwhackers and great wine selections – paired by Mandy to go perfectly with all of her scrumptious delights!

    P.P.S. We also loved sailing on the sleek, super fast KUMA TOO. The lines and look of this yacht are unique and attractive – for us a cut above many of the other charters out there.

    Joe & Mandy found all the best places. We had such great places for snorkeling, standup paddle boarding, and kayaking, and we even had a nice hike. Joe & Mandy are the best tour guides plus they set us up to watch beautiful sunsets every evening. The food, drinks, and presentation was delicious. We couldn’t choose a favorite meal because we enjoyed so many. The trip was a great time with friends, and Joe & Mandy made it perfect!

    Where to begin?! Joe & Mandy are absolutely amazing and cater to our every need. The meals were all fantastic and the cuisine was so diverse. We especially enjoyed the seafood. The bartender created a new concoction every day and no cup went empty for long. Every day brought new adventures in snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, shelling, and more. The bioluminescent worms were a big hit along with the fireworks, eagle ray circle dance and more. My recommendation, take at least one annually! (A trip with Joe and Mandy)

    Joe and Mandy rock!! Sail the Kuma Too to see the best spots, enjoy 5-star meals, drink creative concoctions, explore underwater gardens, and if you are really lucky, tickle the dragon. Highly recommend!!
    We made two new lifelong friends in Joe & Mandy and hope to have many reunions!

    This is our second charter with Joe & Mandy. Our first was a year ago and we knew then we would return. Joe and Many truly set the standard in the chartering industry. They cater to our every need with such joyful attitude. They have so much knowledge of the area and know the best places to take us. Mandy’s fabulous meals and Joe’s tasty cocktails can’t be beat! The week was once again a 10 out of 10. The only bad thing is that our kids are mad at us because we brought them last year but came with friends this year!
