Scuba Doo 50 is a 4-cabin Lagoon 500 which is a really popular design for chartering providing good options for up to four couples, but is ideal for 3 couples. The cabins are four queens with lots of storage space and 6’7” headroom! For 8 guests the crew will take the mid ships double cabin and share the bathroom with the port forward cabin.

The interior of the yacht is very modern and light. The salon flows seamlessly into the cockpit so lots of space and a lovely outdoor dining option with comfy seats for relaxing in the cockpit.

Forward is the very popular foredeck lounge area which is the perfect place to relax in the evenings with a cocktail in your hand. There is also a flybridge, which has a seating and sunbathing area behind the steering position.

I enjoyed every minute of every day on board from the snorkeling and diving to the hikes and beach exploration and of course the delicious food and drinks. This is a week and vacation we will always look back on with such great memories and have the two of you to thank for that.

Crew profile
Kris was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up fishing off the local piers and beaches and got his first job as a teenager, working as a mate on a fishing boat. He worked for several years teaching and guiding dives on liveaboard boats in Thailand, Hawaii, and the Cayman Islands and then went on to get his Captain’s license. Aneta has circumnavigated Manhattan by kayak and ran the NYC marathon twice. She is an Advanced Open Water scuba diver and is looking forward to completing her divemaster training.

  • Captain Kris and Anetta were fantastic on all aspects. The boat was amazing – super-comfortable and well-equipped. I loved the layout of the salon, with the u-shaped sofa and middle console. We had all meals out on the deck – never really used the salon but I liked the open floor plan that made it seem more spacious. All of our rooms were comfortable with good mattresses and nice, efficient bathrooms.

    The food was delicious – and it wasn’t easy with our dietary preferences and restrictions. All meals were delicious and well-presented. Anetta did a great job making Maddie’s meals replicate ours but vegan. And she even baked a chocolate birthday cake for Lauren (along with presenting her with a bottle of champagne and a map of the BVI with our journey charted on it). So thoughtful. Kris and Anetta joined us for dinner at Saba Rock one evening and it was much fun.

    We snorkeled a ton – saw some sea turtles, sting rays, lots of amazing fish, including a few barracuda, awesome coral. Kris helped a fisherman rescue an Eagle ray from his net that Jay and Maddie found while kayaking – a happy ending to a potential for a bad outcome.

    We hit great beaches and some of our top must-sees – Norman Island, Willy T’s (where Jay became somewhat famous for doing about 8 backflips from the top deck – people we saw at other islands said “Hey, you’re the backflip dude!”) the Baths, Cooper Island, the bubbly pools, the North Sound, and Caneel Bay.

    It was an amazing week and something we will all remember for a very long time. Thank you for everything you did to make it happen and make it amazing.

  • The Scuba Doo and its crew Captain Charlie and trust mate and excellent chef Cammi, made for a top notch vacation! We circumnavigated St John ~ Hiking, snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, reading, snoozing, paddle boarding and drinking and eating while we were spoiled by Cammie and Charlie. Highlights included snorkeling with turtles, swam with a nurse shark, hiking to the sugar mills and to the top of the mountain overlooking Caneel Bay… and the grand finale of a day on the beach at Caneel. Our family and our friends spent much needed quality time together, which is truly the best gift of all. We hope to return again aboard the Scuba Doo! And we will be back to St John, one of our favorite places on earth. THANK YOU Charlie and Cammi!!! Come visit us in Charleston!
