Chef/First Mate: Peta Daniel
Born and raised in South Africa, I was influenced by a mixing pot of different cultures and flavours from Indian to Cape Malay, Dutch to European. I grew up on a farm where growing, sourcing and thinking carefully about ingredients was part of life. Living in Cape Town for ten years I was lucky enough to gain significant experience in wine pairing working with top chefs from around the world.
My most recent position serving a party of 11 was the most rewarding so far! Providing a rich and full culinary experience for so many and fueling their need for good energy while they snorkel, swim, enjoy the beaches and stay active around all the islands have to offer is the greatest pleasure. In serving larger groups I can be more creative in providing colorful, tasty, homey plates incorporating different textures and a fusion of flavors. Whether it’s full meals, hors’ d’oeuvres, plated charcuterie and cheese boards, designed and cooked ladies lunches, afternoon teas and canapés, the creativity in providing unique experiences for every meal is my passion. I’m excited every day about sharing my skills and love for food and channeling that into creating experiences every meal with the best views possible!
