Ether is a pristine Lagoon 50 catamaran. Layout is three queen cabins with ensuite bathrooms and one double cabin. The double cabin shares a bathroom with one of the queen cabins so would be perfect for three couples or families. Each cabin has individual a/c controls and good storage space.

On decks there is an upstairs flybridge with seating and sunbathing pads. Forward there is a further seating area at deck level which is the perfect spot to be when sailing. At the back there is a cockpit with an outdoor dining option.

Our personal opinion

Why book Ether – PRIZE WINNER – Ether was Winner of the Best in Show category in the 50ft and under section at the 2022 St Thomas Boat Show.  This is such a well deserved award – we have known Richard and Dominique for a number of years and they always work so hard to ensure their guests have the best time.

Crew profile
Our story starts in the heart of South Africa in a small town called Potchefstroom. Marisia was studying hairdressing and Ivan just got back from working at sea on a 130ft motor yacht as Deckhand/Dive master. We quickly bonded over our love for the ocean and meeting new people. We soon decided to move down west to old Cape Town herself, where Marisia continued studying and Ivan went back to sea on an 86ft M/Y Nordhavn as First Mate/Engineer/Relief Captain in Fort Lauderdale.

Half-board rates include 7 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 3 dinners, snacks and standard bar; all other meals to be taken ashore at guests’ expense

Arrive from 5pm. Snacks and welcome drink served, this is not an open bar. Dinner is ashore on clients’ expense. Continental breakfast provided next morning. Vessel departs at noon.

3 Dives included

3 dives per week included for certified divers – charters 6 nights or more.
Additional dives $50 per dive per person.
Richard is a PADI Dive Master
Diving group number depends on certified divers experience.

  • A true trip of a lifetime. To say that out experience exceeded our expectations is an absolute understatement.

    The yacht itself was beautiful, clean, well maintained and comfortable. However, the magic was created by Ivan and Marisia.

    We were greeted by Ivan and Marisia at out taxi with pure excitement and warmth-we were made to feel special immediately. Their eagerness to create a truly memorable vacation was remarkable.

    Ivan’s experience and professionalism and competency as a captain put us all at ease.

    Marisia is an outstanding chef. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner was better than any of the “top” restaurants we have visited. There was great variety each day and the presentation made you feel like you were in a fine dining restaurant. We can honestly say that every meal was delicious!

    Fianlly Ivan and Marisia worked together as an amazing team dedicated to creating a fun experience for all. We snorkeled, tubed, visited multiple island beaches, went to fun bars, explored the baths in VG and much more. The detail and care put into everything we did was remarkable.

    Thank you so much for an amazing trip.

  • I could fill the entire book with all the wonderful memories Richard and Dom helped us create, but that would leave no room for others to journal their good wishes…

    Thank you for feeding us some of the best food we’ve ever eaten, motoring us to every “must see” spot in the BVI and entertaining us with stories your own adventures. I feel like we came to Ether as customers, but left as friends. We truly could not have had a more enjoyable vacation.

  • We had an amazing week long trip with Richard and Dom. This is our 3rd cat trip and Richard and Dom were just top notch! Dom, did an awesome job managing our diet restrictions with amazing and delicious meals. Everyone cleaned their plate with every meal. We will certainly boat with them again! Best Cat trip we have ever had!!
